Creature Creator released 17 june Posted by: ChEeTaH on May 04, 2008 - 11:34 PM |
EA has announced that it will release the Creature Creator of Spore next month, on 17 June. With this editor you can create and share creatures, which you can also play in the full game that is released around 7 September. Creations can also be shared with friends, for example through YouTube movies. The free demo contains 25% of all content that will appear in the final game. There will also be a $9.99/€9,99 paid version which contains all content, though it may not be available in all territories. Buying this version may get you a discount for the full game, as SpaceOddity reports about a French discount offer. The SimCity box, which ships June 23, will also contain the free version of the editor. Read on for the full press release. |

Press Release Spore with release date Posted by: SNW_Rosana on Feb 25, 2008 - 04:01 AM |
I received multiple news letters and press releases with the release date from Spore. Here's the press release in English.
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (BUSINESS WIRE) Feb. 12, 2008
Get ready for the next Big Bang this fall!
Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS) and Maxis today announced that Spore(TM), the highly anticipated game from the creators of The Sims(TM), will be available at retailers worldwide the weekend of September 7. Spore will be available for the PC, Macintosh, Nintendo DS(TM), and mobile phones.
"The wait is almost over," said Maxis Chief Designer Will Wright. "We're in our final stages of testing and polish with Spore, and the team at Maxis can't wait to see the cosmos of content created by the community later this year."
Spore gives players their own personal universe in a box. Create and evolve life, establish tribes, build civilizations, sculpt entire worlds and explore a universe created by other gamers.
Spore gives players a wealth of creative tools to customize nearly every aspect of their universe: creatures, vehicles, buildings, and even UFOs. Players can then seamlessly share their creations with the world or explore infinite new galaxies created by other gamers.
Consumers can visit www.spore.com to sign up for the Spore newsletter or check out all-new screenshots and video of the game. Members of the media can visit EA's press site at http://info.ea.com for information about all of EA's games. |

Releasedates Spore finally announced Posted by: SNW_Rosana on Feb 25, 2008 - 03:59 AM |
I wasn't able to announce the release date on February 12, due to circumstances. But the most important thing is that it has been announced through press releases and news letters from the official Spore website.
Spore will be released worldwide on September 7, 2008. In Europe we're lucky, September 5 for us Europeans! And people from The Netherlands are really lucky, because they will have the game on September 4 (which is a Thursday, and in The Netherlands, Sims expansions are always released on Thursdays). |

By now we know that we will not only have Spore on our PC's, but also on Mac. For console gamers, there will be the Nintendo Wii version. And for handheld players, Nintendo DS will have a Spore game. For mobile gamers, another Spore game is made.
So it's time for a new poll:
For which platform will you buy Spore?

New SporeNetwork is coming.. Posted by: Rosana on May 06, 2006 - 07:43 PM |
It's been quiet on our Spore websites for a few months. That did have something to do with the fact that I also own SimsNetwork/ SimsNetwerk. Those websites consume a lot of my free time, and that leaves less time for Spore. But the SNW websites have been changed, improved, which saves me more time. Now it's time for a new look on SporeNetwork. I cannot show a preview just yet, but I will post one soon. |

E3 2006 Posted by: Rosana on May 06, 2006 - 07:39 PM |
The past couple of days, we were able to see what E3 would bring us this year. I am a bit disappointed that there are no Sims games listed, but you never know of course. But, there will be Spore! That's some good news.
Another interesting fact is that I am flying to Los Angeles next tuesday, to attend E3! For more information or questions, please go to this topic! |
