So I've announced that I will be going to both Gamescom and Sims Camp in my other post. Today I'd like to tell you who else is going! Because I'm most certainly not the only fansite. Well d'oh :P Anyway I present to you, with a little help from SimsVIP and Platinum Simmers, the list of Sims Camp attendants:

I am so psyched I will meet all of these people, and SimGurus as well!

But there is more. Unfortunately EA can't invite all the fansites to Sims Camp. But some of them are still going to Gamescom for something special! I know that EA Germany and EA Netherlands are both sending several other fansites to go to Gamescom, and they will be able to see The Sims 4 and The Sims 3 Into the Future, like the Sims Camp people, behind closed doors. Here is a list of the attendants (the ones I know of anyway):

Dutch fansites:

German fansites:

Special thanks to Lars from SimGlobe for the list of German fansites!

Earlier I received the official new logo for The Sims 4, but only in Dutch. I requested the English one as well.

And I also made a temporary box art to use on SNW, until EA releases something. :P I was a bit tired of the grey one that just said "no box art" hehe.

With update 6 out of the way, Maxis has announced update 7 which is currently in development. It'll bring a plethora of traffic fixes. Most notably vehicles will now claim their destination before actually going there, which will prevent flocking. Congestion on busy routes is also handled in a smarter way and vehicles will accelerate and decelerate faster, allowing them to leave buildings and go through intersections more easily, allowing smoother traffic in your city. However, the biggest thing may in fact be bridges: using the , or . keys you'll soon be able to raise or lower roads to create overpasses, bridges or tunnels.

Read the full notes below and Alexander Harkness' blog post for more details.

  • New: Brand new tool to create bridges, overpasses, and tunnels when you draw your roads.

When building your road, pressing the , key or . key will lower or raise the road accordingly creating overpasses, bridges and tunnels.

Note: Existing road layouts cannot be raised or lowered

  • New: Improvements for Traffic behavior to make it smarter. This should reduce the number of lines formed by all available vehicles converging on a single spot. This affects all vehicles including Police, Fire Trucks, Moving Trucks, Garbage Trucks, Recycling Trucks, Resource Trucks, Buses, Ambulances, and Civilian vehicles going home, to work, or shopping.
  • New: Tree tools – Place individual trees around your city. These tools are located at the end of the Nature Parks palette.
  • Terrain: Fixes an issue some player’s see where terrain covers sections of roads while the camera is zoomed out.
  • Fixed an issue where the fire animation would sometimes continue when fire was extinguished.
  • Parks: Sports parks are now accepting Sims 24 hours a day.
  • Airship: The number of Airship passenger trips should now be correct over multiple days.
  • Vehicles: Vehicles now accelerate and decelerate faster, allowing them to leave buildings and go through intersections more efficiently.
  • Freight: Freight trucks now only leave factories if they have a valid delivery destination.
  • Gifting: Money gifting should be more reliable.

Another day beginning at the studio!

There's no part that's out of reach in The Sims 4! If you could customize your look for the press conference on August 20th, what would your Sim wear? Tell us in the COMMENTS!

SimsVIP was hinting at height sliders! Wouldn't that be awesome? I myself (also) see them hinting at adjustable body parts. Bigger arms, smaller belly, something like that? I would be thrilled. I don't have an average body if I can say it like that, my legs and arms are diseased and a lot bigger in comparison to the rest of my body. So if they would have body parts you can adjust, I would be so thrilled! We'll find out soon enough! :D

I've had to keep this quiet for so long. And I'm so happy I can finally tell the world about it!

SNW is going to Sims Camp and Gamescom this year!

OMG! :D :D :D

I can't even express my enthousiasm! The writing in this post doesn't do my real life enthousiasm any justice!

For now I will just stick to the announcement here. Later today I hope to receive a package containing more info, which I might show off in another post as well. I am going to mention all the attendees as well. Just not right now. We have all been given the same embargo but, it ends at midnight our time. So this means that the people in the US for example have to wait at least 6 more hours, some of them maybe even 9 hours. So it wouldn't be fair to them to tell everyone that they are going, when they aren't even allowed to tell it yet! Makes sense, right? And finally, it's incredibly nervewrecking for me. But I do plan on telling about Sims Camp in a video as well. I am debating on English or Dutch. With Dutch I can talk in my own pace without any weird accents, and can add subtitles to that. On the other hand, I need to practice my English in real life anyway, with Sims Camp coming up. What do you want me to do? Leave a comment. English or Dutch video? I will consider the language with the most votes.

For now be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Tumblr, and Instagram. I will update all these channels during the event.

More information will follow later :D <3

I've been on a trip for a few days and knew I couldn't play Sims. I intended to create my very own Freezer Bunny and guess what? I did! I made my own pattern and ordered materials some time ago. And this week I started working on it. It took only a few hours. I promised to show you all this awesim secret on Sunday. But I went home a day early! I realize the Freezer Bunny I created is far from perfect. :P In my defense it's my first plushie in many years. I haven't made one in 20 years! I will upload the DIY pattern and instructions soon on SNW. Are you excited? :D
